Welcome the guests who come to my Blog. I'm Fang, I am in Thailand and live in Samutsongkhram (Sa-Mut-Song-Khram) Province. I was born and grew up here. From the beginning, I create this blog for practicing writing English and giving information about my hometown.
Before I decided to create a blog. My hometown doesn't have famous like Phuket or Chiangmai. I meet many foreigners backpacker have many problems when they come to my hometown. So the story about my hometown and many places here are the best content for the beginner like me.
Let me introduce my province as I have known I was young.
"My hometown is the smallest province in Thailand and very near Bangkok but is still has fertility nature (Most people think like this, it's true). It spends only 30 minutes drive to all districts in the province that it is impossible for other provinces. Around 15-30 years ago, it just an ordinary coastal province. We have famous seafood and fruits but is not the travel place like Phuket or Chiang Mai. Some Thai people still do not know where Samutsongkhram is in Thailand.
My province had 300 canals and more than 2,000 branches, so the main vehicle in the past was a boat and the transportation center was Amphawa district. But after the province was more developed, many roads were built up, the life and living of local people gradually changed. Around 2004, the locals people cooperated to rehabilitate the floating market in Amphawa again for preserving the life and living of the riverfront community.
Around 2007-2008, Amphawa Floating Market became famous, Maeklong Railway Market became famous afterward. Both Thai and foreigner gradually came to travel to my hometown. My Thai friends wanted to travel in my hometown and I had many foreigner friends after I came back from China. Or some friends met in the van during back home. I took them to travel every famous place or they needed. It's not hard for me because of the many places in my hometown, I went much time since when I was young. After that, I often took my many Thai and foreigner friends to travel."
Not long ago, there is something happen to make me know what is the information that is necessary for the travelers and make me more seriously do this blog. After my uncle made his dream in 10 years ago was come true. He was the mainstay of my family renovated my family's old wooden house in a riverfront to be a guesthouse in the local community for making the travelers live with the local people, real touch Thai provincial community. I think this blog can help our guests to travel in my hometown happier.
