Amphawa Floationg Market, Samutsongkhram


     Amphawa Floating Market is one of Thailand’s floating markets which is old and very popular among tourists. This floating market is also one of the top Samut Songkhram’s tourist attractions. it is not far from Bangkok, every Friday - Sunday. It has become such a magnet for Thai weekenders. Located in Samutsongkhram province which is far from Bangkok 70 km. 


      The tourists who come to enjoy canalside views or having delicious food. All visitors can purchase seafood, local Thai dessert or souvenirs for friends and family. Moreover, the visitors can have a boat tour to see views and lifestyles along the Amphawa Canal.  At night, the visitors can arrange for a boat trip to watch fireflies in cork trees as a fascinating night scene of the day. 


      In the past, Amphawa floating market is the important center transportation, it is the big floating market and Riverside community, but today the new transportation by car take floating market is not important and in the last floating market disappeared.


      Amphawa municipal district rehabilitated Amphawa Market again for protecting the culture, the name for this project is "the evening market".

King Buddhalertla Naphalai (King Rama 2) Memorial Park: visitors can see people’s way of lives, traditional Thai houses and antiques from early- 19th-century Siam.



Thai Dessert Museum:  It is Thailand’s first Thai dessert live museum as the exhibition contains real-looking, touchable desserts. The museum is open free of charge on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10.00 a.m. -7.00 p.m.
